#PeriodsInPublic – Breaking the Silence, One Conversation at a Time

Periods are natural, normal, and something half the population experiences, but why do so many people still feel uncomfortable talking about them in public? #PeriodsInPublic is a movement to normalise period conversations in everyday spaces, challenging stigma and empowering people to speak openly.

#PeriodsInPublic – Breaking the Silence, One Conversation at a Time

We take to the streets to ask everyday people how they feel about discussing periods in public. Through candid interviews, street Q&As, and social media challenges, we’ll break down taboos and open up real, unfiltered discussions about menstruation.

✅ Periods are not gross-they’re biological. ✅ Talking about menstruation in public should be as normal as discussing the weather. ✅ Period products are a necessity, not a luxury. ✅ No more whispering or hiding pads/tampons-let’s normalise visibility.

1. Street Interviews & Reactions

We hit the streets and ask people:

  • "Would you talk about your period in public? Why or why not?"

  • "What’s the most awkward period experience you’ve had?"

  • "How do you feel when you see someone carrying a pad or tampon openly?"

  • "What would you change about how society treats periods?"

Join the Movement!

This is more than just a campaign-it’s a shift in culture. Let’s create a world where no one has to feel ashamed about their period.

Together, we can make talking about periods as normal as talking about our morning coffee.
